Sookmyung Women’s University ranked 2nd in the 2018 National Customer Satisfaction Index survey

Our university took the 2nd place in the private university category for the 2018 National Customer Satisfaction Index (NCSI) survey.

 

This was a joint second place along with Kyunghee University and Yonsei University in a survey which was organized and announced by Chosun Ilbo and Korean Productivity Center. It is also one position higher than the last year’s achievement at 3rd place.

 

The survey was based on the result of individually interviewing 3,970 students attending top 15 private universities in Korea.

Based on the total points, our university scored 78 points, which is 1 point behind the first-ranked Sungkyunkwan University. In terms of points per factor, all areas have risen compared to the last year and exceeded the industry’s average such as in customer expectation level, perceived quality, perceptive value, complaint rate, loyalty, and persistency rate. In particular, the customer perceptive value (23.3%) and customer loyalty (16.4%) were found to have increased significantly.

 

The Korean Productivity Center announced, “Sookmyung Women's University has extended the boundary of knowledge acquisition which was formerly centered around the campus to all areas of field-based education that cultivates creative problem-solving skills,” and “The industry-university courses and capstone design courses which develop practical skills through strengthened university-industry cooperation have grown by 5 folds in just 1 year.”

 

In light of the survey result, the Office of Assessment announced, “The evaluation is all the more meaningful because it targeted education consumers, and we will continue to make efforts to improve our educational services.”
