The study of formative arts, which could be considered as the central, basic major among various fields of the arts, puts emphasis on cultivating creative expression capabilities and developing broadened thinking through deepened education in both theory and practice. In light of the international awakening to cope with modern art, which makes it difficult to distinguish between craft and painting, the Department emphasizes the roles of media, teaches expert knowledge and expression through practical techniques by means of research and analysis of various techniques, and cultivates the ability to produce unique works in keeping with modernity. In addition, it promotes the harmony between technology and the arts that modern society requires, and it will contribute to society as a creative leader in developing the dissemination of information about future-oriented formative arts and culture.
