College of Liberal Arts
The College of Liberal Arts is a leader in the development of fundamental studies such as language, literature, history, and education. We offer a wide array of social science methodologies that form the backbone of academic development in universities. We produce insightful social scientists that enrich the world and contribute to society.
Moreover, we foster talented women gifted with the acute insight required for globalization, teaching them to build future-oriented qualities and acquire creative knowledge encompassing classic and contemporary history and culture based on logical information and cultural emotions in the era of cultural content.
College of Science
The College of Science occupies an important position as the stepping stone for the future development of applied technologies based on chemistry, life science, and mathematics as well as engineering, medical studies, information and communication.
With the objective of of raising future leaders endowed with logical, convergence-oriented minds in science, most of our graduates have received specialized education as researchers and are now contributing to the development of research in basic science subjects. They have also occupied positions in various industries in the government or medical and pharmaceutical fields.
Along with this, we are trying to combine the qualities of the liberal arts based on physical education and dancing to cultivate women who can contribute to creating a new culture in the future.
College of Engineering
The companies of the future will want convergencetype leaders with an engineering mindset. Each major
is highly sought after in our society of cutting-edge technology. We have also designed majors that accentuate and accomodate women advantages. The common areas of research for all our College of Engineering students are the smart car and health care in which students choose their specialization after the first year.
In effort to follow the foundation ideology, which is national salvation, the college runs specialized structured and unstructured programs, and offers systematic learning and work experience management programs backed up by a cutting-edge learning environment and quality faculty in order to raise women CEOs with engineering background of future industries.
College of Human Ecology
At the College of Human Ecology, students study the interaction between individuals and society in our highly industrialized society. The college aims to foster women specialists who can raise the quality of life in individual households and general society. We focus on raising our students’ ability to adjust quickly to rapidly changing environments while relaying the tradition of national private women’s education, touching on a wide range of fields including combined science, applied science, practical science, lifestyle, child development, and household management.
College of Social Sciences
The College of Social Sciences offers a wide range of theory and empirical, practical-based experimentation to foster social scientists with the ability to analyze and solve various problems and phenomena in modern society. By encouraging cross-disciplinary convergence and organic collaboration between different departments, we aim to develop the students’ logical thinking and insights. Our graduates have entered parliament, central government, municipal government, public organizations, private companies and organizations, international organizations, research centers, universities and media organs, working for the development of society.
College of Law
The College of Law offers specialized education in law in order to raise women legal experts with sound work ethics and specialized legal expertize demanded by society. Many of our graduates have entered law school and passed the bar examination, now working as core individuals throughout Korea’s legal system.
The college aims to raise women legal experts with sound work ethics, to lead the age of information and globalization, and to contribute to Korean Reunification while practicing the spirit of service and consideration for others with specific educational objectives.
College of Economics & Business Administration
The College of Economics & Business Administration emphasizes practical economics and business
administration. As such, we offer realistic education to help students understand the government and private entities on top of the market and the general economy.
Students are specially prepared to navigate through the intricacies of international law in this era of globalization and information. We nurture progressive economic leaders who can meet and serve the demands of society.
To this end, we are expanding the number of lectures taught in foreign languages, as well as the number of subjects based on popular social demand. We nurture talented women equipped with a positive attitude and offer education on various socially responsible companies.
Graduates enter into governmental and international bodies as well as educational institutions, where they contribute to the development of the Korean economy and the extended global community.
College of Music
As the home of the first Korean female conductor, the university orchestra which has performed successfully in Sydney Opera House and Conservatory, the Philharmonic Hall in Vladivostok, Russia for its 75th opening anniversary, and the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana State University, USA, the College of Music is dedicated to showing the world the excellence of Korean classical music.
The College of Music aims to raise musicians with the ability to create or play music according to individual students’ style and major.
It also offers various opportunities for students to present their talents by hosting a range of events including annual spring and fall concerts, operas, the night of songs and operas, campus museum concerts, and so on to allow students to nurture their talents as players of various musical instruments and to broaden their understanding of the industry. The college wishes to contribute to the national culture and art by training professional musicians and performers.
College of Pharmacy
The College of Pharmacy is working tirelessly to raise excellent individuals with professionalism who can get ahead of the global competition, and to become a tertiary education provider who can lead the future.
We offer specialized education through three majors including applied pharmacy, industrial pharmacy, which focuses on developing novel drugs, and clinical pharmacy, which focuses on its use and pharmaceutical care. In addition, we are offering various training programs to equip our students with practical knowledge and skills in the field partnering with pharmaceutical companies and public organizations as well as overseas colleges of pharmacy.
College of Fine Arts
We aim to raise artists of the twenty-first century who will develop their own special skills and personality through training in sculptural art and design through five different majors in order to realize their creativity and contribute to society and human prosperity.
The five majors include the Department of Visual & Multimedia Design, which uses visual materials to convey the artist’s ideas and influence the audience’s heart; the Department of Industrial Design, which aims to foster practical, creative industrial designers who have design-oriented thinking and modeling abilities; the Department of Environmental Design, which focuses on future-oriented architectural culture and unique interior and exterior spatial design skills; the Department of Arts & Crafts, which raises craft artists capable of expressing themselves through modern styles with a modern consciousness; and the Department of Painting, which is focused on Korean and Western painting styles and expressive skills, as well as the skills required by modern global artists.
College of General Education
We believe that the individuals required by today’s society must possess a wide range of personal qualities and attributes, including a broad and balanced perception of reality; a critical mindset that allows them to explore the world from a new perspective; open communication skills that allow them to cooperate with people of different views; creative convergence skills that enable them to create results by “melting different pieces of knowledge in one pot”; a compassionate and proactive attitude that allows them to deeply consider the most pressing issues in collective society; and the attitude and values required to reflect on oneself and explore one’s future in an autonomous way.
We develop a variety of innovative general education contents and models aimed at fostering creative, convergence-oriented individuals endowed with virtues, intellectuality, and a volunteering spirit.
