The Department of Library and Information Science educates innovative and responsible female information experts who will lead the information professions; explore the principles for information creation, management and use, and creates information systems. Our students acquire practical skills and knowledge that help them to develop new information systems and services.
Purpose of the Education
The education purpose of the Department of Library and Information Science is to cultivate female information professionals who can contribute to diverse fields in the information society and produce practical experts on information through research and practice on cutting-edge information technology.
Education Goal
- Educate the information expert equipped with the professional knowledge and attainments in the library & information science.
- Cultivate the practical information expert through the education with field sense and advanced information technology.
- Build up the systematic knowledge on the adjacent science or applied science, as the interdisciplinary research and application are necessary to treat the information and literature of each field.
- Foster and discharge the elite group who are going to lead the future informatization society based on the above goal.
