In the 1st semester of 2007, the following changes and establishments took place
- 1. The Le Cordon Bleu Hospitality Management Major was newly installed at the Division of Culture & Tourism, with a capacity of 80 people.
- 2. The Integrated Graduate School of Public Policy and Graduate School of Techno Business Administration under the Graduate School of Professional Studies (GSPS) were merged to form the Graduate School of Public Policy and Industry, with a capacity of 43 students. Five majors, including Marketing, were removed.
- 3. The Graduate School of Design changed its name to the Graduate School of Life Style Design and removed nine majors, including Visual Design Majors.
- 4. The Fashion Design Major changed its name to Fashion Coordination Design Major and giving it a new name, Living Style Design Major.
- 5. The Social Pharmacy Major was newly established within the Graduate School of Clinical Pharmacy.
- 6. The Piano Pedagogy, Golf Management, and Beauty Art Majors were newly installed within the Graduate School of Social Education.
- 7. The Sookmyung Hospitality Business School was established as one of the Expert Graduate Schools, with a capacity of 20 people for day classes and 20 people for evening classes.

In the 1st semester of 2007, the following changes and establishments took place within the General Graduate Schools:
- 1. Newly established the Telecommunications, Design, and Visual Art Ph.D. Courses.
- 2. Reduced the capacity of the Graduate Courses at the General Graduate Schools by 10, resulting in a capacity of 394 students. This reduction was done to establish the Graduate School of Business.
- 3. Integrated the Department of Craft Art and the Department of Painting into the Visual Arts Department.
- 4. Transferred the History of Arts Department from the Fine Arts Category to the Humanities Section.

In the Office of Academic Affairs, the following changes and installations were made:
- 1. Installed the Education Media e-Learning Support Team within the Center for Teaching and Learning.
- 2. Removed the Human Science Information Team, Social Science Information Team, and Natural Science, Art & Sports Information Team in the Library.
- 3. Newly installed the Collection Development Team, Information Service Team, and Serials Information Management Team in the Library, which serves as an annexed facility.
- 4. Changed the name of the Electronic Resources Services Team to the Electronic Resources Supporting Services Team.
- Regarding the Division of Computer & Information Science, the following changes were made: Reallocated the admission unit of the Division of Computer & Information Science, which previously had 120 students, to the Computer Science Major with a capacity of 85 students and the Multimedia Science Major with a capacity of 35 students. This reallocation adjusted the distribution of students between the two majors.

- The SIS Immunology Research Center was newly established in the Women's Health Research Institute. Furthermore, after receiving approval from the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology and meeting the license amendment condition of the execution plan of the Urban Plan Facility Project (School), according to the construction of dormitory, a road measuring 69.3m² at 1-182 Cheongpa 2-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul was donated to the Yongsan-gu Office. In addition, the Hospitality Management Major in the Sookmyung Hospitality Business School was renamed as the Le Cordon Bleu Hospitality Management Major.

- 1. Reorganization of the Office of Information & Communication Affairs: The office was restructured and renamed as the Office of Knowledge & Information Technology.
- 2. Center for Teaching and Learning: The Center for Teaching and Learning, which was previously under the Office of Academic Affairs, was moved to the Office of Knowledge & Information Technology.
- 3. Changes in Teams: As part of the reorganization, the Education Media e-Learning Support Team in the Center for Teaching and Learning was removed. Additionally, the IT Planning & Operation Team and Information System Team were discontinued. In their place, the Knowledge & Information Management Team and Knowledge & Information System Team were newly established.
- 4. Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC): The ROTC, previously an auxiliary facility, was restructured as a department under the direct control of the university president.

- The Strategic Planning Team under the Planning Office was renamed as the Operations and Management Team, and the Evaluation and Audit Office was renamed as the Evaluation and Management Office.

- The Museum, Jung Yeong-Yang Embroidery Museum, Calligraphy and Fine Arts Museum, and Sookmyung History Museum were transferred to Sookmyung Cultural Center. The Art History Team within the Museum was removed, and a new Cultural Planning Team was established within the Sookmyung Cultural Center.
- The Career Development Team within the Career Development Center was renamed as the Employment Support Team, and a new Career Development Team was established within the Career Development Center.
- The General Education Institute was renamed as the Leadership General Education Institute, and the Competency Development Center was renamed as the Leadership Competency Development Center. The General Education Center under the General Education Institute was removed.
