The department aims to cultivate talented individuals who possess a profound academic understanding of Korean culture and traditions, enabling them to specialize in the research, education, and dissemination of the Korean language and literature.
Educational Goals:
- Foster research professionals who lead the development of Korean language and literature studies by cultivating knowledge and skills necessary for the advancement of national culture.
- Contribute to the academic understanding of Korean culture as a whole and promote scholarly research, education, and dissemination of Korean language and literature.
- Creatively carry forward the university's tradition as the first in women's history studies, actively pursuing research in Korean language and literature with autonomy and gender equality.
- Produce female researchers and leaders with a harmonious blend of practical skills that align with the globalization era and a profound imagination rooted in the humanities.
