English Island Scholarship

Eligibility

We welcome exchange students from universities in English-speaking countries, including the USA, Canada, Australia, and others.
Non-native English speakers must show English fluency, typically through a TOEFL score. The General English Program may also conduct an eligibility interview.

Eligibility

Internship: Limited to less than 8 hours per week during the regular semester.
Scholarships: Approximately KRW 1,000,000 per semester (KRW 10,000 per hour).
You must commit to a scheduled time with your conversation partner; failure to do so may lead to a termination of your scholarship.

Sookmyung Alumni Scholarship (not applicable to exchange students)

SMU offers scholarships to the non-exchange students (visiting students) whose parent is a full-status Sookmyung alumna. The scholarship covers 100% of the tuition fee for the Summer/Winter Session and 50% of the tuition fee for the Spring/Fall semesters. Below are the required documents for the scholarship application.
