The major previously known as Computerization was renamed to Computer Science. The Division of Mathematics & Statistics (night class) was removed. The night classes of the Division of Law, Division of Communication, and Department of Environmental Design in the College of Arts were converted to day classes. Furthermore, a fixed number of 350 students out of the previous 730 from the night class were converted to day class.

The Divisions of Family & Child Welfare and Human Ecology under the College of Domestic Sciences were restructured into the Division of Human Ecology under the College of Human Ecology. The Department of Industrial Design and Environment Design Departments at the College of Fine Arts were integrated into the Division of Design. The fixed number of 20 students in the Division of English Language and Literature were converted from night class to day class.

The Ozone Observation Station on the fifth floor of the Science Building and the ANMULBA Center in front of the Student Building were expanded.

      • The university extended the 6th and 7th floors of the West Building, adding an additional area of 740 pyeong and restored a total of 31,070.5 pyeong of land in mount, at 104-3 Namhyun-dong, Kwanak-gu, through legal proceedings. This land was regained after losing ownership of 4,234.1 pyeong located in Kyungbook, which was initially bestowed by the government in April 1985 as compensation for the land in Namhyun-dong. A park land area of 2,107.9 pyeong, including the road dividing the B and C areas, as well as lands near the Library and the College of Pharmacy, were converted into school facilities.

A new major in Multimedia and Animation was established at the Division of Design. The Institute of Traditional Korean Food was newly established, and the Computer Center was renamed as the Computer & Information Center.
      • The International Institute of Language Education was renamed as LinguaExpress and was made into an affiliated organization.
      • The Pottery Room (105.84m²) at 53-12, Cheongpa-dong 2-ga was closed. Additionally, a private house (72.7m²) at 117-5, Cheongpa-dong 3-ga and another private house (175.2m²) at 117-3, Cheongpa-dong 3-ga were purchased within the 2nd Changhak Campus.

The Socio-Educational Science Research Institute of the College of Pharmacy was completed in the 2nd Changhak Campus (District B). Additionally, the university obtained a 1,443.1m² lot located in Yongsan-gu within the Cheongpa Campus (San 2-21, 115-26/117, Cheongpa-dong 3-ga, Yongsan-gu, Seoul) from the Ministry of National Defense in exchange for a lot of 102,713m² (San 104-3, Namhyeon-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul) owned by Sookmyung University.

Furthermore, a lot of 109.1 located within Cheongpa Campus (117-4, Cheongpa-dong 3-ga, Yongsan-gu, Seoul) was purchased from the Seoul Archdiocesan Juridical Non-Profit Foundation.

      • The Department of Culture & Tourism recruited an additional 10 students. Moreover, the number limit at the Graduate School of Clinical Pharmacology was increased by seven students. Additionally, the Graduate School of Professional Studies established the Early Childhood Education & Technology program with a capacity of 30 students.

      • The Japanese Studies major, previously offered in the Division of Humanities (night class) at the College of Liberal Arts, was transferred to a daytime class and renamed as the Department of Japanese Studies. Within the College of Human Ecology, the Division of Human Ecology was divided into the Divisions of Family & Child Welfare and Human Ecology. Similarly, the Division of Design at the College of Fine Arts was divided into six distinct majors.
      • In terms of administrative structure, there was a reorganization from a partial to a whole team structure. Additionally, an annex building was extended to the Faculty Building, comprising of 1 floor below ground and 7 floors above ground, with a total gross floor area of 2,980.82m².

      • The Department of Multimedia Science was established as part of the master's course at the graduate school, providing specialized education in the field of Multimedia Science. Additionally, a new Research Institute for Culture & Arts Management was established as an affiliated research institute.
      • The school disposed 109.1m² of forest land located at 142-1, 3-ga Cheongpa-dong, Yongsan-gu. The land was transferred to the Catholic Church Foundation, Seoul National University District.

These centers serve as dedicated resources and support hubs for their respective areas of focus.

      • Dr. Lee Kyung-Sook, Ph.D. in Political Science, was inaugurated as the 15th President of the university. Under her leadership, the university undertook a major construction project to expand the 6th and 7th floors of the Science Building. This expansion increased the gross floor area by 1,659.5 square meters, equivalent to 502 pyeong.

      • The Composition Development Center was renamed as the Communication Development Center and Career Services was established within the Office of Student Affairs. SOC was reorganized as SOC 21, and the Office of Strategy Planning became the Strategy Planning Team within the Office of Planning Affairs. The Planning and Budgeting team was transformed into the Budgeting and Planning team. In additiona, the Planning and Operation division within the Office of Information and Communication Affairs became the IT Planning and Operation. The university founded the Le Cordon Bleu-Sookmyung Academy as an affiliated academic institute.

      • The Development and Cooperation and External Affairs offices were transferred to the newly established Office of External Relations. The major in Public Relations & Planning was renamed as the major in Public Relations & Advertisements within the Division of Communication, and the major in Multimedia was renamed as the major in Multimedia Science within the Division of Computer Science. Additionally, the school purchased a lot of 314.4 (47-18, Cheongpa-dong 2nd street) located behind the Grand Auditorium.

      • The Office of Admissions was opened, and an admission planning unit was established within the office. The responsibility for admission management, which was previously under the Office of Academic Affairs, was transferred to the Office of Admissions. The Office of Faculty Resources was closed, and two new units, Faculty Services and Research Services, were established within the Office of Academic Affairs. A new team, Industrial Cooperation, was established within the Office of External Relations, and the responsibilities of the Public Relations office was transferred to the Office of External Relations as well. The team of Academic and Student Affairs at the graduate school was closed, and its operations were distributed among the Office of Admissions, Office of Academic Affairs, and Office of Student Affairs. This restructuring aimed to integrate the management of undergraduate and graduate programs.
      • The Department of Culture & Tourism was established within the master's degree program.

      • The student quota of the Graduate School of Information & Communication was adjusted to 41, with a reduction of 4 students. The student quota of the Graduate School of Music Therapy was adjusted to 56, with a reduction of 6 students. The newly installed Graduate School of Social Education was established, and the Play Therapy Major was introduced with a student quota of 10
      • The School of Cyber Education was renamed as the Distance Education & Technology under the Graduate School of Distance Learning.
      • The affiliated research institute formerly known as The Institute of Traditional Korean Food was renamed as the Korean Food Institute. Additionally, the newly established Korean Language and Culture Institute was opened within the Research Institute of Regional Studies.

      • The Renaissance Plaza project was completed, which includes several facilities such as the Jung Yung Yang Embroidery Museum, The Institute of Moon Shin Fine Arts, The Korean Food Institute, a musical hall, and a parking lot. The total area of the plaza was 23,663.76m². Additionally, an underground road and a lot for the nearby residents were completed and donated to the Yongsan-gu Office.

      • The affiliated facility, Cyber Training Institute for Teachers, was closed, while a new Cyber Training Institute for Teachers was established within the Office of Academic Affairs. The SOC21 team was disbanded, and the General Affairs and Personnel teams were restructured into the SOC General and Personnel Management Team. Additionally, an Academic & Student Affairs Team were established for the Graduate School of Distance Learning, and the Sookmyung Interpretation and Translation Center was set up under the Research Institute of Regional Studies.

      • A major in Library and Information Science was transferred from the Division of Computer and Information Science in the College of Science to the Division of Humanities in the College of Liberal Arts. Additionally, the Division of the Second Languages and Literature (daytime class), the Department of Japanese Studies, and the Department of Culture and Tourism were moved into the Division of Humanities. The Division of Second Languages and Literature (night class) were also relocated to the Division of Humanities (night class).
      • The Sookmyung Women's University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation was established, focusing on strengthening collaborations between the university and industries. Along with this, a new Industry-Academic Cooperation team was initiated to facilitate and manage industry-academic partnerships. As a result, the previous Industry-Academic Cooperation team within the Office of External Relations was removed to streamline the organizational structure and enhance the effectiveness of industry-academic collaborations.

      • The Affiliated Facilities Venture Business Center, the Institute of Arts Management, and the Institute of Moon Shin Fine Arts were removed. In their place, the newly established Moon Shin Museum was established as an affiliated facility. Additionally, the construction of the Sookmyung Professional Center was completed, providing a space of 4,998.57m² for various professional activities and services.

      • New interdisciplinary programs were introduced, including the "Special Program for Common Social Studies," the "Special Program for Common Science Studies," and the "Special Program for Leadership." The Service Management Major was introduced in the Graduate School of Techno Business Administration, as well as the Leadership Education and Eurhythmics Majors in the Graduate School of Social Education, with an increased capacity of up to 30 students.

      • The Korean Language and Culture Institute (KLCI), the Research Institute of Women's Health, and the Research Institute for English Language and Cultural Studies were established as affiliated research institutes. 11 rooms on the 2nd floor of the Atrium-Koryo Building, covering an area of 1,169.92m², located at 101-49 Galwol-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, was acquired.

      • The Counseling Center for Gender Equality and the Center for Global HRD were established as affiliated institutes.
      • In 2006, the school implemented revised regulations, resulting in significant changes and improvements. Notably, the Graduate School of Human Resource Development for Women was established within the Graduate School of Professional Studies (GSPS), reflecting the institution's commitment to empowering women in their career development. Furthermore, a strategic shift was made by transferring 220 students from the evening undergraduate classes to day classes, accompanied by necessary adjustments in student enrollment capacities.
      • To enhance specialization and accommodate growth, several divisions underwent restructuring. The Division of Law at the College of Law saw a considerable increase in its student ceiling, allowing for the enrollment of an additional 98 students, reaching a total capacity of 198 persons. Within the College of Liberal Arts, the Division of Humanities was optimized by reducing its capacity from 380 students to 350, ensuring a more focused and effective learning environment. Additionally, the Culture & Tourism Major within the same college underwent a name change and became the Division of Culture & Tourism, aligning its identity with its academic scope and objectives
      • In the Division of Natural Science, the Biological Science Major was established as a separate entity, now known as the Division of Biological Science, with a student ceiling of 60 persons. This change enables specialized education and research opportunities in the field of biology. Furthermore, the Division of English Language & Literature experienced an increased student capacity from 100 to 120, facilitating enhanced academic offerings and a broader reach.
      • Other divisions also underwent adjustments to accommodate growth and optimize resources. The Division of Natural Science reduced its student ceiling from 120 to 60, ensuring a more favorable student-to-faculty ratio and fostering a conducive learning environment. The Division of Economics saw an increased ceiling from 90 to 110, allowing for expanded enrollment and improved access to economic education. Similarly, the Division of Business Administration increased its student capacity from 160 to 180, providing more opportunities for aspiring business professionals.
      • Recognizing the importance of music education, the school made a significant change by renaming the Department of Instrumental Music as the Division of Instrumental Music. Additionally, new majors in Piano and Orchestral Instruments were introduced, enriching the curriculum and diversifying the offerings for music students.
