The Department of General Education is responsible for the university's comprehensive academic curriculum. It includes five mandatory courses: 'Convergence Thinking and Writing,' 'Critical Thinking and Discussion,' 'Global Citizenship and Leadership,' 'English Discussion and Presentation,' and 'English Writing and Reading.' Moreover, the department oversees core elective courses that cater to essential skills for college graduates, along with a diverse array of general elective courses in five different areas.
Education Goals
The Department of General Education has three core missions:
- To provide educational content that enhances students' fundamental academic skills and essential intellectual abilities.
- To nurture outstanding students with creativity and convergence capabilities through diverse intellectual stimuli and practical experiences.
- To offer students various opportunities to develop their career plans and explore and expand their academic interests.
