Department of Environmental Design

“Mastering the art of creating architectural and interior spaces as a total designer.”

The Division of Environmental Design comprises two majors: Architecture and Spatial Environment Design. The Architecture major fosters design and aesthetic skills, aiming to nurture global female architects with creative abilities. On the other hand, the Spatial Environment Design major emphasizes creating spaces that enhance human experiences, combining science and art to train versatile designers capable of planning physically appealing environments that consider the qualitative improvement of human behavior and life experiences.

Education Purposes

The Architectural Design program covers a wide range of subjects, from small private houses to grand public structures like museums and commercial buildings. It aims to empower female architects with new skills and roles, addressing social and societal design issues. Additionally, the program explores digital architecture, delving into cutting-edge modern and futuristic concepts.

In Spatial Environmental Design, the focus is on practical study and creative design for various commercial spaces, including offices, cafes, hotels, and cultural venues. Students engage in non-daily spatial designs, such as space formation, display, stage, and event design, fostering creativity and innovation throughout the process.

Education Goals

The Department of Environmental Design comprises Architectural Design and Spatial Environment Design, aiming to enhance the aesthetic and functional aspects of living spaces. Architectural Design focuses on nurturing global female architects with emotional and creative talents, while Spatial Environmental Design aims to cultivate leaders in public design for various city-scale areas, considering human experiences and emotions.
