A cool summer experience event held at the salt fields of Daebu-do, Ansan.

24 foreign students and Sookmyung Cultural Exchange Group students of our university went to experience a salt field in Daebu-do, Ansan on the 8th. This program was provided to encourage friendly relationships between Korean and international students at the university, and so students could understand Korea better through the salt field experience.
The students personally produced and harvested salt at the Daebu-do Dongju salt field, and the foreign students were amazed by the practical yet scientific production method our ancestors developed so long ago. They were allowed to take the salt they made themselves as a souvenir.
After completing the salt field experience, the students moved to a theme part with the scent of the sea nearby, where they observed water plants growing in marshes, and participated in the Taegeukgi making and rainbow salt making programs provided by the Sookmyung Cultural Exchange Group. Dina Zlatina from Germany, who participated in the event, said, "I was sad that I did not have many opportunities to travel to rural areas, but I enjoyed the day today because I was able to see the beautiful scenery of the sea and make many friends."
