Sookmyung Women’s University was designated as the “2021 integrated management organization for research facilities and equipment cost.” This system is being operated by the Ministry of Science and ICT to support the smooth and continuous operation and utilization of research equipment.
With this selection, Sookmyung Women’s University is to implement the “research facility and equipment cost integrated management system” from January next year, allowing the research facilities and equipment expenses (maintenance and repair expenses) supported as R&D expenses for national R&D projects to be saved in the “integrated research facility and equipment cost management account” that has been specifically opened for that purpose. The accumulated expenses can be used for maintenance and repair of research facilities and equipment during the project period as well as after the completion of the project. It can be utilized for equipment built with R&D resources and registered in the research facility/equipment information system (ZEUS).
Myung-seok Lee, the Dean of Research & Business Development Foundation, said, "With this designation, Sookmyung Women’s University＇s shared equipment will be operated more stably than before and the utilization of equipment will be improved.” and “We are also looking forward to expanded off-campus utilization of our school’s equipment.”
