Youngone Corp. CEO Kihak Sung donates 100 million won to Sookmyung Development Fund

Youngone Corp. CEO Kihak Sung donated 100 million won to the Sookmyung Development Fund on September 28 (Tue). 

 

On this day, President Yunkeum Chang conveyed a plaque of appreciation to Kihak Sung, Chairman and CEO of Youngone Corp, who has established a progressive partnership with the Department of Clothing & Textiles of Sookmyung Women’s University since 2008.

 

CEO Sung said, “I hope that it will help students, who are the leaders of future generations, to grow into creative talents equipped with a global mind and competency,” and “Youngone Corp. has been promoting the development of the domestic apparel industry through industry-academia cooperation with Sookmyung Women’s University, and in the future, we plan to continue to collaborate on resource recycling activities such as the development of eco-friendly products as ESG-based management expands.”

 

President Chang said, “I would like to express my gratitude to CEO Kihak Sung, who provided support for students of the Department of Clothing & Textiles to participate in various design development projects and opportunities for practical experience, and provided an incubator platform for nurturing outstanding talents in the fashion design field.”



 

Sookmyung Women’s University’s Department of Clothing & Textiles, led by Professor Youngsun Kim, has been developing various programs for 14 years, including the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics licensed product development project and eco-friendly upcycling graduation exhibition, together with Youngone Corp.
