On October 6th, the “1st Industry Collaboration Center (ICC) Joint Seminar” was held in the Jang Bong-ae lecture room of the Centennial Hall of Sookmyung Women’s University. This event was held in compliance with the quarantine measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The Industry Collaboration Center (ICC) has been promoted as an industry-academic cooperation innovation strategy for university innovation support projects since last year, and it is a joint growth research center where universities and companies form a single consortium to plan joint research and promote technology commercialization.

This research presentation was participated by the ICC faculty members (Dong-sik Shin, Mi-hui Yang, Kwang-il Lim, Ho-seon Lim, Kyeong-min Choi), participating companies (Cantis, Goodbeing Center, Bio Design Lab, Beersheba, Astis), researchers and related departments (University Innovation Group, Center for Technology Licensing), including Vice President Hyuk Seung Shin, Dean of Industry-University Cooperation Foundation Myeong-seok Lee, Dean of Student Affairs Yun-seon Song.
The seminar began with the greetings of Director of ICC Dong-sik Shin, Vice President Hyeok-seung Shin, and Dean of Research & Business Development Foundation Myeong-seok Lee, followed by the introduction of each consortium, research fields and achievements, etc. and lastly time of questions and answers.
“Through this research presentation, we learned in detail the research fields and main commercialization fields of the tenant companies and participating professors, and it was a meaningful event that gave us the opportunity to share valuable information that can contribute to the growth of the companies,” ICC officials said.
