Sookmyung Women’s University receives a Presidential Citation for contributing to job creation

For the contributions of Sookmyung Women’s University to job creation, the school received a Presidential Citation at the “2020 Job Creation Merit Award Ceremony” held at the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Agency Western Branch Office on December 22nd.
The “Job Creation Merit Award,” organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, rewards individuals and organizations that have contributed to job creation selected through evaluation of job creation performance and job quality improvement.
Sookmyung Women’s University has played a leading role in regional governance by carrying out Career Development Center for the Creative Economy projects, operating a variety of curricular and non-curricular subjects, and work experience programs, contributing to the employment and job creation of local young people. For the past four consecutive years, our school was selected as an “excellent university,” the highest grade in the university career development center project evaluation.
In this year's case, we were evaluated to have rapidly responded to changes in the job market by introducing a number of online untact employment programs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ju-hyeon Kang, the Dean of Career Development at Sookmyung Women's University, expressed her ambition, “I am grateful for receiving the Presidential Citation for contributing to job creation in the job market struck by COVID-19. I will continue to devote myself to repaying my appreciation with good results.”
