  • University Job Plus Center gives an “excellent” rating for the 8th straight year since 2016

Results achieved through student-customized programs such as online mentoring and AI solutions

Center Director Choi Cheol, “We will cultivate talented workers through our various job and career systems.”

Sookmyung Women’s University was selected as an “excellent” university by the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s University Job Plus Center for the 8th straight year. We are the only university in Seoul to receive an “excellent” rating, the highest of all ratings, for 8 consecutive years.

The University Job Plus Center is a service supported by the Ministry of Employment and Labor that bolsters career guidance from lower grades to all majors, and provides comprehensive career support services through Korean universities.

Sookmyung is the only university in Seoul to be rated “excellent” for 8 straight years, starting from 2016, even beating out the University Job Center, the predecessor to the current University Job Plus Center. These results come from our successful student-oriented programs that work perfectly in the current “With Corona” era.

Through SM BRIDGE, in which alumni could directly participate as mentors, students can receive online mentoring and various AI solutions. Additionally, we run specialized programs for unemployed graduates and local youth, as well as currently enrolled students, and cooperate with leading domestic and foreign companies to discover internship opportunities and employment for current students.

Following Presidential commendation in 2020 and Minister commendation in 2021, we were chosen as an “excellent” university for the job and employment field, receiving Minister's commendation for Career Education Promotion in 2023. The University Job Plus Center will operate for 5 years from 2022 to 2026, and can be extended by 1 year if it receives an “excellent” rating 3 times over this period.

Center Director Choi Cheol said, “I'm thrilled that the University Job Plus Center has successfully run the last two years and received an ‘excellent’ rating,” further adding, “Our goal is to foster talented individuals through our university job and employment support systems. We will actively support students, so they can enjoy various opportunities in the rapidly changing job market.”
