“For a Smarter and Happier University Life” - Theme of Sookmyung Happiness Growth Week 2019

From September 25 to 26, 2019, Sookmyung Women’s University held ‘the Sookmyung Happiness Growth Week 2019’ at the Snowflake Square Hall on campus.
This event was designed as a form of a fair on campus to introduce the functions and services of various departments, and give employment/career advice in order to boost satisfaction in students’ campus life under the slogan of ‘A Place For a Smarter and Happier University Life’.
The event was centered on the administration services that undergraduates could receive, such as group consultation, intensive individual counseling, and the promotion programs of each department. In the group consultation session, briefings were held for pre-registrants about Scholarships ▲Major Selection/Teacher Education ▲How to Write a Cover Letter ▲Employment Trend in the Second Half of 2019. In the intensive individual counseling session, fairs such as the One-on-One Conversation with Professional Counselors, the Career Roadmap Building through Career Advice, the Self-Study Consultation, and the Introduction to Interdisciplinary Program took place.
In addition, the Human Rights Counseling Center that opened last year, distributed human rights guidebooks, held special safety campaigns in cooperation with the Yongsan Police Station, and prepared a health awareness program by offering body composition tests and holding a campaign to create a culture that respects life.
In particular, the event was held with the slogan of ‘Ready, Set, Go! Career Journey’, based on which students can talk about their career design and roadmaps with the alumni. To this end, the alumni who are active in various fields visited the school and had group and individual consultations with their mentees, followed by the open talks in an outdoor picnic-like setting in the evening.
Sookmyung Women’s University has held a fair that comprehensively informs the administration services of and has made a plan to enhance the understanding and trust of its members in the administration department through regular events since the first semester of this year. The Student Affairs Center said: "It has become an important competitive advantage to improve the satisfaction level of students by introducing various school services that can enrich their college lives. We will further develop diverse events so that they can have a successful time in school from entrance to graduation."
