Alumnae Association of the Greater N.Y. participates in the “2019 MANHATTAN KOREAN PARADE”

Sookmyung Women's University’s Alumnae Association of the Greater N.Y. (Chairman Hyo-wu Lee) participated in the “2019 MANHATTAN KOREAN PARADE” in October and once again raised the pride of Sookmyungians in the New York society.
The Alumnae Association of the Greater N.Y., which continues its 45-year tradition, has been the only member among the New York Korean American university alumni associations to participate in the event since its inception. In particular, the pink wide-brim hats and the pink shoulder banners worn by alumnae during the parade became famous specialty items of the “Korean Parade Banner Walking.”
In addition, Sookmyung's Alumnae Association of the Greater N.Y. has been carrying out various activities for the development of alma mater such as collecting the New York Cheongpa Scholarship since 2001 and providing it to Sookmyung Women's University's students under the goal of becoming a “role model of proud intellectual Sookmyungians.”
