On September 18 (Wed), our university signed an MOU with the Seoul Business Agency (CEO Yeong-seung Jang, hereinafter “SBA”), a small and medium-sized business support organization affiliated with Seoul City, to promote women's entrepreneurship and create a women's entrepreneurship ecosystem.

SBA is an organization that supports the growth of small and medium-sized venture companies through venture revitalization and investment in Seoul, domestic and foreign marketing support, etc. Together with 13 universities in Seoul, SBA is promoting the 「Campus CEO Development Project」 as a part of the “Global TOP5 Venture City Seoul Project,” which is being conducted in Seoul to spread entrepreneurial spirit and passion among universities.

As a participant in the 「Campus CEO Development Project」, Our university is the first Korean university to open an entrepreneurship major in undergraduate programs to lead the discovery and development of the next generation of female CEOs. Centered on our Entrepreneurship Engagement Foundation, our university is making great efforts to create a women’s entrepreneurship ecosystem and produce excellent entrepreneurs.

Through this agreement, the two organizations are to actively promote the creation of a women's entrepreneurship ecosystem and spread entrepreneurial spirit by jointly pursuing various projects such as ▲ development of policies and implementation system for joint research and cooperation related to women's entrepreneurship, ▲ opening a form for establishing women's specialized entrepreneurship ecosystem, ▲ support of global merchandising in the K-Food, K-Fashion, and K-Beauty sector in connection with traditional contents and Seoul City brands, ▲ opening a demonstration day for pilot operation and investment connection toward women-specialized support projects, etc.

President Jungai Kang said, “Based on our university's tradition and excellent capabilities and together with SBA, the leading supporter of job creation in Seoul, we will actively strive to play a leading role in establishing a women's entrepreneurship ecosystem and fostering the next generation of women CEOs.”
