At the exhibition, a total of 105 artworks can be seen, including 65 pieces by Sookmyung Women’s University museum and 40 pieces by 10 contemporary artists. The museum's collection of everyday artwork preserves temporal, physical and regional characteristics and values. Contemporary textile artists have created their own works using themes of different traditions and reproduced the inspiration of the relics in a modern sense.

The museum hopes to show a sense of Korean beauty reinterpreted from a Korean tradition and modern perspective. "It will be an opportunity to inform the global stage of the contemporary nature of Korean culture and art by linking the history of color and modern art", a museum official stated.

Meanwhile, last July, in cooperation with KOFICE (Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange), Sookmyung Women’s University Museum held an exchange exhibition of traditional art works dealing with the lives of women at the Ditsong National Museum of Cultural History in South Africa. Also, through the Traveling Korean Arts business, the museum continues to communicate with the international community through activities such as introducing Korean embroidery overseas.
