Sookmyung Signs a Business Agreement With Nestlé, the World’s Largest Beverage Company

To foster female talents that will lead the future, Sookmyung has teamed up with Nestlé, the world’s largest beverage company.
Nestlé is a global company boasting 150 years of history, leading the trend of the worldwide beverage market and showcasing products that satisfy Korean consumers’ tastes based on familiar lineups, including Nescafe, Dolce Gusto, and Kit Kat.
On Tue, Oct. 10, the University Job Plus Center signed a business agreement with Nestlé Korea to revitalize the industry-academia collaboration at the school’s administration building. The ceremony was attended by President Jang, Thomas Caso, the CEO of Nestlé Korea, and other key figures from the two parties.
This agreement is expected to allow the university to expand its student internship programs and focus on talent-fostering activities. Sookmyung Women's University has been holding on-site industry-academia collaboration activities since the second semester of 2023.
Furthermore, Sookmyung is slated to establish a comprehensive cooperation system with Nestlé Korea for industry-academia collaboration and ESG for the LINC 3.0 project and the Capstone Design program.
At the meeting, President Jang stated, “I am excited to allow our students to participate in the internship programs of Nestlé, a leading global company,” adding, “I expect this agreement to be the start of mutual growth for Sookmyung and Nestlé Korea. We will maintain the close-knit relationship with Nestlé through consistent industry-academia collaboration.”
