Graduate School of Business Administration, the start of the first health care MBA program in Korea

Health care MBA is a program specialized to bio, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and medical fields that are receiving a lot of attention as strategic industries around the world. Although it is an industry with infinite growth potential as seen through the recent success story of Hanmi Pharmaceutical Company, there weren't any specialized MBA programs except as single curriculum among serveral MBA programs.
The courses that are being newly opened by the Graduate School of Business Administration not only includes basic education necessary for global talents to be active in the corresponding fields, but also comprises of broad curriculum contents such as valuation of technology specialized to the health care industry, technology transfer strategy, negotiation, M&A, and global expansion strategy.
Furthermore, the university is promoting best curriculum and practice development, instructor recruitment, etc., through a recent academia-industry cooperation MOU with the Korea Biotechnology Industry Organization, which is one of the representative biotechnology organizations in Korea. And through internship programs and employment support, the university plans to elevate this MBA program into a global program as soon as possible.
The Dean of Graduate School of Business Administration, Park Nae-hoe, said, "we will foster talents that will become the pillars of national strategic industries through curriculum specialized to the health care industry, and furthermore, create continuous global success stories such as Hanmi Pharmaceutical and Celltrion in order to elevate Korea into an advanced bio-technical nation."
