Sookmyung Women's University's SISS visits the scene of 'K-POP craze'

The foreign students who participated in this studio tour were 23 students from 9 countries such as Taiwan, Germany, Ethiopia, Japan, China, Canada, Kuwait and France. Most of them were students participating in our university's SISS, and the remaining were government scholarship students and international students. Sookmyung Global Buddy URI students and Sookmyung correspondents were also with them during the trip.
At the live broadcasting that lasted about 2 hours, the foreign students were mesmerized by the charm of festive performance and K-POP where the idol singers and fan clubs became one. A student from Thailand showed her devotion as well by preparing a sign for the boy group she likes.
Meanwhile, the SISS Session II is being held from August 1 to 22 with the theme 'Korean Wave Culture Experience'. Korean and Taekwondo courses were created and interesting programs like Korean food cooking and K-POP dance are also held. In addition, National Museum of Korea and Korean Folk Village will be visited to have an opportunity to enjoy the historic traditional culture of Korea. The International Student Support Team who hosted the program said, "We decided to prepare for the studio tour because foreigners had so much interest in the Korean wave than we've expected." and "We will do our best to give more satisfaction for foreign students through a differentiated Sookmyung's cultural experience programs in the future."
