Sookmyung University Ranks Sixth in the University Category of Korea

Sookmyung Women's University Ranks Sixth in the university category of Korea's National Customer Satisfaction Index conducted by the Korea Productivity Center.

Sookmyung received higher grades than we received last year in every consideration of the national customer satisfaction Index and Sookmyung's ranking jumped four notches to sixth from tenth. We became sixth in the national customer satisfaction Index together with Yonsei University, and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies after beating out Korea University, Hanyang University, and Joongang University. Sookmyung's overall customer satisfaction increased by 6.6 percent compared to last year and customer's recognizing quality and customer's expectation increased by 1.5 percent and 4.3 percent. Especially customer's recognizing value, customer loyalty, maintaining customer ratio rose sharply to 23.1%, 20.0%, 40.9% respectively.

Hyungcheol Kang, the director of Sookmyung's Office of Planning Affairs, said, "we worked hard to raise the education quality of Sookmyung Women's University, and the sixth place ranking in the university criteria of the Korea's National Customer Satisfaction Index was possible due to our efforts. He added that we will not stop improving our educationalsystem until we become the first ranking in the history of Korea's National Customer Satisfaction Index.

The National Customer Satisfaction Index (NCSI) is an economic indicator that measures the satisfaction of consumers. It is produced by the Korean Productivity Center and the University of Michigan. Fifteen universities including Seoul National University, Yonsei University, Korea University, and Sungkyunkwan University participated in the university criteria of NCSI, and 3,200 college students are individually interviewed by the Korean Productivity Center for data collection and analysis during the second quarter of this year.
