Promotion of global exchanges with leading universities in Northern Europe and the U.S.

Sookmyung Women’s University President Yunkeum Chang returned from visiting universities in Northern Europe and the United States to realize the Sookmyung 2030 vision of “The World's Best Digital Humanities University - Sookmyung Women's University” and expand global learning opportunities for current students.

The President of Aalto University in Finland and the visiting group from Sookmyung Women’s University are taking a commemorative photo.

 

From October 3 to 18, President Chang, Dean of International Affairs, Se-jae Jeon, and Dean of External Affairs & Communication, Ki-eun Jeong, visited 11 major universities in Europe and the United States, including Leiden University in the Netherlands, which is the world's leading research university, Aalto University, an emerging and prestigious university centered on entrepreneurship in Finland, and prestigious Harvard University and Princeton University in the United States to discuss student exchanges and promotion of global exchange programs.

 


President Yunkeum Chang visited Princeton University and took a commemorative photo with Anne E. Jarvis, Library Director, and Wind Cowles, Data Service Center Director.

This trip was conducted to expand global exchanges that have been interrupted by COVID-19 and to benchmark advanced systems and programs from leading overseas universities. In particular, it was an opportunity to expand global exchanges in fields such as digital humanities convergence research, student entrepreneurship, and industry- academic cooperation to contribute to the key undertakings promoted by Sookmyung Women’s University.
