Sookmyung Women’s University is promoting exchanges with Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering, one of the most prestigious universities in the United States.
Sookmyung Women’s University’s Dean of Student Affairs Yun-sun Song and Associate Dean of the Office of External Affairs & Communication Jang-ho Moon had a meeting with Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering Dean Veronica Donahue, Assistant Dean Hedy Alavi, and Senior Assistant Dean James Aumiller at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, USA on August 19 (Fri).
At this meeting, the two schools agreed to promote the allocation of undergraduate students and exchange of exchange students through discussions on Johns Hopkins University＇s summer visit program, “Summer at Hopkins”, and the internship program and online master＇s program, “Home to Hopkins”. They also agreed to discuss ways to strengthen global partnerships by expanding human exchanges to graduate schools in the long term.
Johns Hopkins University, established in 1876, is one of the top-ranked private universities in the United States. In particular, it has world-class medical schools and hospitals. It has been consistently ranked in the top 10-20th in the world university rankings such as THE and QS and the US News Ranking, and has produced a total of 29 Nobel Prize winners so far.
