Our College of Fine Arts co-hosts exhibition with Jakarta Institute of the Arts

This exhibition, hosted by our university and Jakarta Institute of the Arts, and supported by the Korea Indonesia Friendship Association (KIFA), is the first exchange organization since the two universities developed a sister relationship in April, this year. The exhibition was held to promote cultural exchange and strengthen partnership between professors from Jakarta Institute of the Arts, the main arts university in Indonesia, and professors from the College of Fine Arts of our university.

A total of 8 professors submitted artworks for the exhibition from all departments of the College of Fine 

Arts of our university -- Professor Sul Kim, Professor Kyung-ah Kim, Professor Jin-kyung Hwang (Department of Arts & Crafts above), Professor Hoon-sung Park (Department of Painting), Professor Soon-sun Hwang, Professor Ji-sun Lee (Department of Visual & Multimedia Design above), Professor Soo-kyung Seo, Professor Jung-jae Jang (Department of Environmental Design above), and a total of 10 professors participated from Jakarta Institute of the Arts, including professor Ika Yuni Purnama.

On the 12th, around 50 people including professors from both universities, event personnel and sponsors, attended a simple reception and opening ceremony. On the 14th, professors from the Jakarta Institute of the Arts visited our university and toured our College of Fine Arts, museum and library.

Associate Vice President of External Relations Soo-kyung Seo said, "It was an excellent opportunity to directly appreciate sophisticated artworks and traditional artistic methods of Korea and Indonesia," and added, "We will continue cultural exchange in the future through efforts such as holding an exhibition in Indonesia."
