Five Professors Selected as Top 2% Scientists Worldwide 2023

Sookmyung Women’s University announced that five of its professors have been recognized in the list of the world’s top 2% scientists provided by Elsevier, the largest global academic publisher.
This list is compiled annually by Elsevier in collaboration with Stanford University in the U.S., based on the citation impact of scientists who have published five or more papers.

Among those recognized in the category of 'Career-Long Achievement' are Prof. Yang Mihi from the College of Pharmacy and Prof. Kim Byung-gyu from the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering, who have made it onto the top 2% list.
For the category of 'Single-Year Achievement' of 2023, three additional Sookmyung professors were selected: Prof. Kim Jong-min from the Department of Biological Sciences, Prof. Kang Kyo-bin from the College of Pharmacy, and Prof. Yoon Yo-han from the Department of Food & Nutrition.

A representative from Sookmyung Women’s University stated, "This achievement is a result of our continuous efforts to enhance the research capabilities of Sookmyung faculty. The university will continue to provide full support to ensure outstanding outcomes in research."
