Dear New Exchange Students for spring 2020

Warm greetings from Sookmyung Women’s University.

I know that many of you will be arriving in Korea next week and I really hope that you have a safe trip to Korea.

As you may already know, the Orientation for the new exchange students is cancelled due to the prevention of the spread of coronavirus 19. The orientation documents are sent to your email address on Feb. 20. If you have not received the email yet, please email to inbound.exchange@sookmyung.ac.kr

Please do not forget the important date and process below:

1) Important dates:

* Dormitory Check-in: Feb. 24(Mon) ~ (Check in service on weekend is not available)

* Course Registration: Feb 26 10:00 ~ Feb. 28 17:00

* Semester Start: March 9(Mon.)

2) Submit the exchange students understanding of OIA Policies with your information and signature by email (deadline: March 4)

3) The students who have submitted all the necessary documents to OIA you can pick up your student ID card from global lounge.

4) If you are not staying at the on-campus dormitory, please let us know your residence address by email and you need to visit global lounge to check your arrival to SMU during st week of March.

5) Your buddy will be contacting you and you may get some help from your buddy during your academic year here at SMU such as opening a bank account, Alien registration card, and experiencing the Korean Cultures.

I really hope that you all prepare your new semester well and have a good start of your exchange program in spring 2020.
