2016 WBB Program : Pre-Arrival and Housing Assignments

Dear all,

 

Christmas greetings from Seoul, Korea!

We are delighted to know that you have finally decided to join the Winter Beyond Borders Program in January 2016. During your stay at Sookmyung, you will be escorted by a group of SMU students to introduce you to Korea and its culture. Through attending the scheduled classes, visiting different places and experiencing the local food and culture, we hope that you will learn more about Korea and the city of Seoul.

 

I’ve attached Pre-arrival Information on Winter Beyond Border Program which is meant to make your trip more enjoyable. There are reminders about the weather and things to bring. Please read them through carefully.

 

▶Flight Information

Please type in your flight information at least 2 weeks earlier than your check-in date so that we can prepare for your check-in accordingly. If you do not type in your flight information in advance, it is not possible for you to check-in on your arrival date.

 

Airport Pick-Up Service by SMU students.

This service will be fee charged of KRW50,000 (Limousine bus fares for both students are included) and you just need to pay for the charges directly to the buddy at the airport!

Check-in Process

Detailed information is included in Pre-Arrival Information. Depending your arrival time in Korea, different check-in policy will apply. (Arrival during office hours during weekdays: Visit International House I and pick-up your key / Arrival after office hours or weekends : Visit Professional Center and pick-up your key from a security guard on the first floor)

 

Orientation on January 7th

A student intern will wait for you guys at 13:30 on January 7th by the main gate of Professional Center. Please be gathered by 13:30 as she will lead you to the campus for orientation session.

 

Material Fees are needed for those who register for Korean Arts and Crafts course

For those who register for Korean Arts and Crafts Course are asked to bring KRW50,000 for materials charges during orientation session on January 7th.
