Two students who tackled social challenges—one by launching an eco-friendly brand, the other by improving conditions for sanitation workers—received a vote of confidence from an accomplished alumna.
The Division of Business Administration held its spring 2026 Jeong-seon Park Scholarship ceremony on Monday, June 22, in Room 301 of Veritas Building.
Scholarship recipient Yu-min Baek (Business Administration '24) developed an eco-friendly brand called "ecoco," personally overseeing every stage from product design, packaging and manufacturing to social media marketing and sales. Drawing on that experience, Baek earned an Award of Excellence in a mid-sized company analysis competition and took first place in the Federation of Korean Industries' EIC corporate analysis contest.
Seo-yoon Jeong (Business Administration '24) planned and ran an upcycled-product fundraising project to improve working conditions for sanitation workers, reaching 240 percent of its goal. Notably, Jeong donated all of the proceeds to support those workers. Judges praised the project for applying business principles to a social problem and channeling the returns back into the community in a virtuous cycle.
At the ceremony, alumna Jeong-seon Park (Business Administration '90) presented each student with 2.75 million won and words of encouragement. Jung-san Oh, head of the Division of Business Administration, attended along with other faculty members.

"I hope these students go on to lead lives that create social value, and become people who pass that love on to the students who follow them," Park said. The recipients expressed deep gratitude for their senior's warm encouragement and support, saying the scholarship would be a valuable foundation for pursuing their dreams and taking on greater challenges.
A former executive vice president at Samsung Electronics, Park now serves as CEO of the health platform OPIC. She launched "Seecle," a portable silicone eye-rinsing device, and is steering the company's growth into a comprehensive healthcare business.
Since 2017, Park has supported a total of 38 students with more than 100 million won in cumulative scholarships. The Jeong-seon Park Scholarship stands apart for selecting students who create social value through bold, creative endeavors. The Division of Business Administration plans to expand the program, selecting two College of Business and Economics students each semester for continued support.
