Recruitment Ad for Fall 2010 Positions
Sookmyung Women’s University (http://e.sookmyung.ac.kr) is looking for enthusiastic, well-trained, and dedicated full-time English lecturers for the university’s General English Program Center (GEP Center: http://sookmyung.ac.kr/~smugep). We offer an excellent academic and work environment and competitive salary among other benefits. Due to a recent reduction in class size (16 students max), we are expanding our department.
Position
Full-time English lecturer at Sookmyung GEP Center (Seoul, Korea)
Job Description:
1) Teach English courses (15 hrs per week) in Discussion & Presentation and Writing & Reading to the university’s freshman students.
2) Rate G-MATE (GEP’s Multimedia Assisted Test of English) as final tests.
3) Attend monthly department faculty meetings and hold two office hours and two hours in Write Spot /English Lounge a week.
4) Participate in curriculum and textbook development
5) Take part in some official university and department events.
Qualifications:
1) Native Speaker of English
2) M.A. in TESOL, TEFL, English or related fields + 1 year teaching experience (at least one semester college teaching experience is required)
3) B.A with at least 3 years of college teaching experience (English or Education related certificate holders preferred)
Contract Period
September 1st, 2010 ~ August 31th, 2011. One-year contract (renewable).

Original diploma, two sealed transcripts of your MA and BA, official criminal background check and health examination
